REACH OUT FOR MORE INFO Three side by side three acre parcels total 9 acres on a dead end road in Hawaiian Acres come together as one nine acre homestead, remote and quiet, yet one mile from the highway and roughly thirty minutes to Hilo. Everything here was carved from raw jungle. The one acre center clearing, the driveway, and the wrap around perimeter road were cut in 2016, giving full vehicle access to every edge of the land. The main house over a shipping container went up that same year, followed by the bathhouse, wrap around deck, and off grid utilities in 2018. A second structure with two bedrooms was added in 2020, a greenhouse and shadehouse in 2021, and a second clearing behind the original in 2022. The land is the story. More than forty fruit trees planted in 2018 and 2021 include soursop, starfruit, Brazil and Surinam cherry, ulu, citrus, longan, lychee, rollinia, avocado, banana, lilikoi, mulberry, rambutan, papaya, coffee, tea, and mountain apple. A dozen bamboo varieties, rainbow eucalyptus, gardenia, heliconia, ti, taro, sugarcane, and palms fill in the rest. Vanilla vines planted in 2022 in the shadehouse have proven abundant, with genuine income potential for anyone willing to do the work. On clear mornings Mauna Kea stands in full view from the house and throughout the property, and some nights bring the glow of Kilauea. Built with love, and cared for the same way. Mālama ʻāina.
