About this property
Rare opportunity to own 21.62 acres of usable AG land off South Road in Kurtistown. Set within the peaceful Ola'a Reservation Lots, this property has the kind of open pasture, rich soil, and privacy that is getting harder to find on Hawaii Island. The land has a quiet country feel with wide open sky, Mauna Kea views, ocean views noted in prior MLS remarks, and large surrounding TMKs that help keep the area private. The seller has already put meaningful work into the property. There are several cleared and dozed areas, internal driving access toward the back, a farm stand, wire fencing in the front and back, over 2 miles of driving, walking, and horse/ATV trails and additional fenced sections. These improvements give the next owner a strong head start for a future homesite, working farm, livestock setup, equestrian use, retreat space, or a private legacy property. The land is gentle, grassy, and open, with plenty of room for animals, orchards, gardens, or a self-sustaining homestead. Seller also notes a temporary camp/shower setup on site with running water and hot water, plus a small solar power setup near the back tent area that can be used for basic charging. The tent area was damaged by animals and needs cleanup, but the basic setup is in place per seller. Neighboring parcels on both sides are also in the process of being sold separately, creating a possible larger-acreage opportunity for a buyer looking for more land in this area. Fee simple. AG dedicated. Flood Zone X. Lava Zone 3. Private, gated, open, and beautiful, this is the type of South Road acreage people look for but rarely find.
